GAME DRIVES
FULL DAY GAME DRIVES
Full Day game drives give visitors with limited time the opportunity to pack a lot of thrilling game viewing into a single day. Your day will start with an early (5.30 – 6.00am) pickup at the gate closest to your camp or lodge.
Once inside the park you can enjoy varied game viewing as we make our way to one of the Kruger National Park camps where we will stop for breakfast (usually supplied by your camp or lodge).
After breakfast we will move further into the park as we attempt to show you as much wildlife as possible. All our safari vehicles are linked by radio, to ensure that we know where any particularly interesting sightings have occurred. After lunch at another camp we will gradually make our way back to your drop-off point allowing time for a comfort stop at a camp or picnic site along the way.
AFTERNOON GAME DRIVES
Afternoon Game Drives usually leave the camp around 4pm and last for about 2 hours. Most afternoon game drives include a stop in a scenic area for sun-downers before returning to your camp in time for dinner.
MORNING GAME DRIVES
We depart early so as to watch the birth of another perfect day in Africa! At this time of the morning many animals are active and you can expect good sightings as you watch the sun rise. Drives last about 2 hours and we will have you back at your camp in time for breakfast.
SUNSET DRIVES
Sunset drives are the highlight of the safari experience for many visitors!
We offer exclusive Sunset Safaris in a Private Game Reserve situated in the Kruger National Park. Guests board our Open Safari Vehicles at the Numbi Gate entrance into the KNP at around 16h30. From there they enjoy game viewing while making their way to a spot where they can enjoy a Sundowner drink, compliments of Echo Africa Safaris, while they watch the beautiful African sunset. After Sundowners we continue our Game Drive in search of more of the abundant nightlife that Kruger has to offer, including some nocturnal animals and hunting predators. We head back to the Numbi Gate at around 19h30 and guests are dropped off to return to their camps and Lodges.
Small groups (*10 people or more) can pre-book a traditional South African bush dinner which has been prepared by our chef and his team! Guests can relax under the stars in our bush Boma and enjoy a three-course meal while listening to the thrilling chorus of African night sounds which surround them, or gather around the boma-fire to exchange stories about the day’s sightings. Enjoy a drink of your choice or a delicious bottle of South African wine from our cash bar.
After Dinner guests are escorted back to the Numbi Gate entrance where they will be dropped off to return to their Hotels.
**We require a minimum of 10 Persons to confirm the boma dinner.
BUSH WALKS
A guided bush walk (with a trained and armed guide) is a wonderful way to experience the essence of the African bushveld, getting close to a variety of wildlife and having time to notice the smaller details which are often missed on a game drive.
We will pick you up bright and early at your camp or lodge and transfer you to a Big 5 private game reserve. Each group will be accompanied by armed and experienced game rangers that have the necessary qualifications in Bush walks, Dangerous Game and Advanced Weapon Handling.
As dawn lights up the sky, guests have coffee and rusks and are briefed about the basic rules and possible dangers involved. The Rangers will introduce guests to tracking, animal behavior, identification, plants and trees.
Walks last for about 2 hours and each group is limited to 8 guests.
* Larger groups can also be accommodated by splitting them in to smaller groups of 8.
BOAT CRUISES
For something a little different, why not consider a Blyde Dam Boat Ride? We will take you for an unforgettable scenic cruise on the Blyde Dam, where you can enjoy the splendor of the amazing Blyde River Canyon from a unique perspective.
A qualified guide will explain all about the history and geology of the world’s third-largest canyon as you cruise towards the very rare Kadishi Tufa Waterfall and the beautiful Three Rondawels. As if the stunning scenery is not enough, you will also have the chance to spot Hippos and Crocodiles as well as an abundance of birdlife including the iconic African Fish Eagle
WILDLIFE SANCTUARY
The Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Center provides a sanctuary for many injured, sick, orphaned or poisoned wildlife species from all corners of South Africa.
Once the animals are healthy enough, the majority of them are re-introduced back into their natural habitats.
Get the opportunity to touch one of Africa’s Big Cats or have a Vulture sit on your arm.
